We are selling over 500,000 gently used hardback books (75%), paperbacks (25%), video tapes, CDs, DVDs, books on tape and CD, puzzles, and games.  The books are arranged into 27 different categories and hundreds of sub-categories.  The average price of a book is between $1 and $5. VNSA is comprised of 150 volunteers who work year round to provide shoppers with great books at a spectacular value.  Over 14,000 people attended the sale in 2012.  Go Green. Bring bags and small suitcases.

The VNSA-Volunteer Nonprofit Service Association, Inc. has attracted over 14,000 book lovers from all across the United States, and even a shopper from

Australia in 2012. This is one of the largest 2-day used book sales in the nation. The funds raised provide financial support to two local agencies:  Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County, Inc. and Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation.  Since its inception, VNSA has donated over $6.5 million dollars to charities in Maricopa County

Please help us get the word out to the public that for the first time ever the sale has changed from the second weekend in February to the third weekend. We have numerous photographs available (see some of them on our Website and Facebook page), cartoons by local cartoonist Blake, and volunteers available for interview.  Please contact VNSA (e-mail info@vnsabooksale.org) if you would like to do an article on the sale or set-up an interview.  Thank you for helping to spread the word about this very fun and exciting sale.

Please note:  We are very proud of our owl logo designed and given to us by the noted cartoonist Bil Keane.

VNSA also thanks Valley cartoonist, Blake, for the contribution of his comic cels depicting so many great reasons to shop the VNSA Used Book Sale (and we have to agree!).
